Back in 1990, I migrated from New York City and came down south to build a new life. I was struggling to find a place to live, find a car, and I needed both.  So I went to dealership to a purchase a car.  What I didn’t know did hurt me. The salesman at the dealership advised that he could get me a car but I had to go with a high risk financing company.  I ended up paying double what it was worth.  High interest and a high monthly payment. Later in the year, I ran into the same salesman and he told me he bought the car I paid over $25k for at an auction for $3500.
